Public Comments Needed

NQF Opens Public Comment Period for Cardiovascular Measures

The National Quality Forum (NQF) is seeking public comments between now and June 19, 2014 on 12 cardiovascular measures for endorsement. Many of these 12 measures developed through the joint ACC/AHA Task Force on Performance Measures.

We encourage you to submit comments on all measures, but specifically the following 3 measures related to heart failure, PCI and cardiac rehabilitation:
  •  NQF #2450: Heart Failure: Symptom and Activity Assessment
  •  NQF #2452: Percutaneous coronary Intervention (PCI): Post-procedural Optimal Medical Therapy
  •  NQF #0643: Cardiac Rehabilitation Patient Referral From an Outpatient Setting
To submit comments via the NQF web site by June 19, 2014 you must have an NQF log on. If you do not have one, you can set one up here

In order to make commenting as easy as possible for you, we have provided some sample language (PDF) that you may use. You can find more information about the measures here.
