Housing Information - Conference Venue and Hotel Reservations
Experience the best the Crescent City has to offer from the beautiful Hilton New Orleans Riverside. Located on the banks of the Mississippi, this full-service New Orleans French Quarter attractions and restaurants. Enjoy the expansive health club and dine within legendary restaurants.

The AHA has arranged reduced rates for conference attendees, beginning at $139 per night. The rate will be honored by the hotel July 20-29, based on availability. Rooms will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until all are filled our until June 29. After this date, reservations may be at the prevailing rate and will be subject to availability. The guest room rate does not include applicable taxes. Guests booking with the AHA group will have discounted access to the hotel's fitness facilities and complimentary wireless access in their rooms.

To take advantage of the reduced rates, book online, call (800) HILTONS (toll free) or (504) 561-0500, or contact the Hilton by email msynhreservations@hilton.com and ask for the group rate for the American Heart Association July 2012 conference, Group Code AHB. The rates cannot be changed at check-in or check-out for guests who do not identify their affiliation with the AHA when they make their reservations.

  • Conference Registration: You may register via fax or mail using the member or nonmember registration forms.       
     
  • Information for International Attendees: This section of our website provides our international audience with important information, including links to consulates and embassies, to help you obtain your visa.  Please begin your visa application process as soon as possible.  Consulates in some countries take several months to process applications. If you require a personalized visa invitation letter, you must register for this conference first.  A letter will automatically be sent to you afterwards via e-mail.
  • Media Registrants:  Reporters, writers, producers or editors with credentials from a newspaper, magazine, online news service, radio or TV network or station, wire service and syndicate may register to attend the Basic Cardiovascular Sciences 2012 Scientific Sessions: Frontiers in Cardiovascular Science and Novel Therapy. Media interested in attending should contact the Corporate and Media Communications office at (214) 706-1396 or visit the newsroom website.
     
  • Payment:   Full payment must be received with your registration form.  Make checks (from U.S. banks) payable to the American Heart Association, or charge your registration to American Express, Discover, VISA or MasterCard.  Registrations without complete payment will not be processed.  Both credit cards and checks (from U.S. banks) are accepted for registration processed on site. Wire transfers and purchase orders are not accepted.
     
  • Confirmation:  Registrants will receive written confirmation/receipt of registration via e-mail. 
     
  • Badges:  Attendees registering in advance will find their name badges and conference materials at the American Heart Association registration desk at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. 
  • Refunds:  A full refund will be made if written notice of cancellation is received by June 20, 2012; otherwise, a $70 cancellation/processing fee will be charged.  No refunds will be made after July 7, 2012.

Please note: The American Heart Association shall not be liable for cancellation of the Basic Cardiovascular Sciences 2011 Scientific Sessions: Frontiers in Cardiovascular Science and Novel Therapy caused by labor strikes, civil disorders, fires, weather conditions, or other acts of God or for any damages or losses resulting from such cancellation.
