Stroke Guidelines Development Manual The Stroke Council's Scientific Statements Oversight Committee has developed a manual to better structure the stroke guideline development process.  The manual is a reference for the Stroke Guideline Writing Committees. Guidelines and revisions must adhere to the manual strictly, although writing committees are asked to consult the manual and follow its procedures as feasible.  Thereafter, all new guidelines and revisions will adhere to the processes and procedures outlined in the manual.

Stroke scientific statements and advisories are published in Stroke.  Joint AHA and American College of Cardiology (ACC) statements also appear in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC).
