Mission
The Council on Nutrition, Physical Activity and Metabolism promotes the expansion and exchange of knowledge with the ultimate goal of improving cardiovascular health across the lifespan. Our council promotes basic, clinical, epidemiological, and translational science related to nutrition, lipids, obesity, diabetes, physical activity, and behavior change.

Call 9-1-1 immediately and say “I think this is a stroke” if you or someone you’re with has any of these stroke warning signs

Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or trouble understanding
Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or loss of coordination
Sudden severe headache with no known cause
