EPI Council Mission Statement
The mission of the AHA Council on Epidemiology and Prevention is to lead the discovery and translation of science related to the distribution and determinants of cardiovascular disease with an emphasis on population approaches to prevent cardiovascular disease and improve cardiovascular health.

 Committee List

Leadership - Nominations for Leadership Committee officers and members of the Leadership Committee are solicited from the scientific council general membership. Nominations are forwarded to an ad hoc Nominating Committee, chaired by the immediate past chair of the scientific council, for election at the scientific council's membership at their Annual Business Meeting.

 

Leadership Cabinet - Facilitate the smooth operation and timely transaction of the council's business between Leadership Committee meetings by providing a forum for information updates and consideration of complex issues to free up time for discussion of scientific and policy issues at the semi-annual face-to-face meetings of the full Leadership Committee.
