Mission Statement
The mission of the Council on Cardiovascular Radiology and Intervention (CVRI) is to provide leadership to the American Heart Association (AHA) and American Stroke Association to reduce death and disability from cardiovascular, peripheral vascular and cerebrovascular diseases, using diagnostic and functional imaging and imaging-directed interventions.
Through the American Stroke Association’s Together to End Stroke initiative, learn about stroke, download the free Spot a Stroke mobile app and access community and patient education resources to share with others. Visit

Fellowship provides a means to recognize council members for outstanding contributions to the field and service to the American Heart Association (AHA).
Circulation: Cardiovascular Imaging
New translational and clinical research on noninvasive imaging technologies, including echocardiography, radionuclide imagine, PET/CT, cardiovascular CT and MRI, molecular imaging, and anatomic and functional vascular imaging.
Council Committees
The CVRI Council is comprised of professionals who serve as experts on issues related to cardiovascular radiology including imaging-directed interventions.
Early Career
The CVRI Council fosters the development of early career professionals, including research scientists and clinicians.
