Mission Statement
The mission of the Council on Cardiovascular Radiology and Intervention is to provide leadership to the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association to reduce death and disability from cardiovascular, peripheral vascular and cerebrovascular diseases, using diagnostic and functional imaging and imaging-directed interventions.

Call 9-1-1 immediately and say “I think this is a stroke” if you or someone you’re with has any of these stroke warning signs

Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or trouble understanding
Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or loss of coordination
Sudden severe headache with no known cause

	Message from the Chair Read a message from the CVRI Council Chair.	Awards, Lectures & Scholarships Acknowledges significant achievements in cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

	Fellowship Fellowship provides a means to recognize council members for outstanding contributions to the field and service to the American Heart Association (AHA).	Circulation: Cardiovascular Imaging New translational and clinical research on noninvasive imaging technologies, including echocardiography, radionuclide imagine, PET/CT, cardiovascular CT and MRI, molecular imaging, and anatomic and functional vascular imaging.

Council Committees The CVRI Council is comprised of professionals who serve as experts on issues related to cardiovascular radiology including imaging-directed interventions.
