AHA Council Membership (CVDY) has been an important part of career in Pediatric Cardiology ever since our specialty was created. Over the years, through Council activities, many of the important initiatives that have shaped our discipline have been developed or have been nurtured by the AHA through the CVDY, and our patients and their families have been the beneficiaries. CVDY members can play an important role in shaping public policy and clinical standards.
We need to continue to be active advocates at all levels — political, scientific and organizational — on behalf of infants, children and adolescents with cardiovascular diseases and adults with congenital heart disease as well. It is only through the active involvement and support of CVDY membership that these efforts can continue. Please visit my.americanheart.org and the CVDY website to keep in close touch.
