EPI Mentoring Award

Sponsored by the Council on Epidemiology and Prevention's Early Career Committee

The Epidemiology and Prevention Mentoring Award highlights the importance of superior mentoring in cardiovascular epidemiologic research by honoring a person who has provided exceptional individual and institutional mentoring and advocacy for cardiovascular epidemiology researchers.  The awardee will be honored at the Epidemiology and Prevention/Nutrition, Physical Activity and Metabolism 2014 Scientific Sessions in San Francisco, CA, March 18-21, 2014.  Nominations open July 29, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. Central Time through November 1, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. Central  Standard Time.

Each nominee will be considered based on his or her history of mentoring epidemiology researchers as well as his or her overall record towards the professional development of mentees.  Membership in the American Heart Association by the nominee is strongly encouraged but not mandatory for nomination.



Deadline
All nominations must be received through the Council Awards Application System by 5 p.m. Central Standard Time on November 1, 2013.  Nominators should submit as early as possible before the deadline to allow time to address any submission issues.
