EPI Mentoring Award

The Epidemiology and Prevention Mentoring Award highlights the importance of superior mentoring in cardiovascular epidemiologic research by honoring a person who has provided exceptional individual and institutional mentoring and advocacy for cardiovascular epidemiology researchers.  The awardee will be honored at the Epidemiology and Prevention/Nutrition, Physical Activity and Metabolism 2013 Scientific Sessions in New Orleans, Louisiana, March 19-22, 2013.

Nomination deadline has been extended to Wednesday Jan. 16, 2013, 5PM Central time.

Each nominee will be considered based on his or her history of mentoring epidemiology researchers as well as his or her overall record towards the professional development of mentees.  Membership in the American Heart Association by the nominee is strongly encouraged but not mandatory for nomination.



Deadline
All nominations must be received through the Council Awards Application System by 5 p.m. Central Standard Time on Jan. 16, 2013 (EXTENDED DEADINE).   Nominators should submit as early as possible before the deadline to allow time to address any submission issues.
