Sponsored by the Council on Epidemiology and Prevention's Early Career Committee
AHA Scientific Council Travel Awards recognize promising and outstanding investigators in the early stages of their careers and provide travel assistance for trainees and early career investigators to participate in AHA scientific meetings.
By providing travel support to early career investigators who wish to attend the Annual EPI/NPAM Conference, the EPI Early Career Travel Award honors outstanding new researchers, facilitates active participation in the annual meeting and highlights the benefits of ongoing membership in the AHA at the early career level. These travel awards will be presented to candidates wishing to attend the Epidemiology and Prevention/Nutrition, Physical Activity and Metabolism 2013 Scientific Sessions in New Orleans, Louisiana, March 19-22, 2013.
All applications must be received through the Council Awards Application System by 5 p.m. Central Standard Time on Jan. 11, 2013. Applicants should apply as early as possible before the deadline to allow time to address any submission issues. Applicants needing to join the AHA should do so by Dec. 30 for the membership to be processed in time to receive the membership number required for the application form.
