Welcome to the ATVB Council website. The council strives to promote basic, translational and clinical research in cardiovascular physiology and pathology.
We contribute to these efforts in numerous ways, including organizing our annual Spring ATVB meeting and actively contributing to the AHA Scientific Sessions in the Fall. These meetings provide a platform for dissemination of our research and for networking among our members. The council presents several awards at these meetings that recognize the achievements of our members from the early to established phases of their careers. The council is also proud of its ATVB journal. This high-impact journal publishes original research findings that are subjected to rigorous peer review and solicits reviews from authoritative leaders in our field.
We encourage you to become a member of the ATVB Council. Several membership options are available, including reduced rates for trainees. We particularly urge you to become a Fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA). Details of membership and fellowship nominations are provided below.
If you have any suggestions for augmenting the council's activities, please feel free to contact me. Our organization is built on volunteerism and there are ample opportunities for each of you to become actively engaged in the ATVB Council.
